We are at a very unique point in our relationship... we have been together for 6 years... half as a dating couple/half as a married couple... but completely as an in love couple!
One of our favorite movies is The Notebook... and my (Marie) favorite scene is when they are on the beach...and she says "Say I'm a Bird..." I often run around and re-enact this scene...making Connor say "if you're a bird, then I'm a bird too." Which he LOVES to do (note the sarcasm!).
So... today I get home from work and find a lovely tabletop with a beautiful bouquet of fresh cut flowers and a card. I added my card and gift for Connor and took a picture.
We proceeded to open cards/gift...
As you can see, we had a lovely assortment. Did you notice the birdie tissue paper? I reminded Connor to notice it...Here is how it went:
Marie: Did you see the sweet birdies on the paper??
Connor: Oh... nice.
Marie: Say I'm a bird...
Connor: (smiling) You're a bird.
Marie: And if I'm a bird, what are you???
Connor: A shotgun.
Isn't he bad!! And look how he addressed my card.
That's real love peeps. REAL love. Then we went for a hike at Rainbow Falls Park... chilly, cloudy... but wonderful. While there, we got a call from Uncle Brad... he sang "happy anniversary to you, happy anniversary to you, better watch out for Connor, he might want 6 or 7 kids from you!" We were cracking up. But, we still remembered to thank him for getting us together 3 years ago.
Love after all, matters the most...

I am cracking p and crying both at the same time, I meant to text you both yesterday to say happy anniversary and I totally SPACED. And the card I sent didn't get in the mail until Monday so who knows how late it will be!

You guys are just the cutest!! As much as you love each other, as Margaret said, everyone loves the both of you! I love the adorable post and I'm so happy that you found each other :)
